Why does Vince bury every match, but he puts over the money giveaway and the bikini contest?

MN HEAT (It’s Crunch Time) asked:

After the Cena vs. Umaga street fight, Vince says “And your winner is John Cena. Now! To more important matters! Let’s give away some money!” He also made a bigger deal about the bikini contest than he did about any of the matches.

Why bury the wrestlers in favor of his stupid giveaway and bikini contest when the fans obviously would rather see wrestling?

  1. kamnet says:

Because the wrestlers are here every week, they’ll be back next week. Right now McMahon is trying to push this Million Dollar Mania because he’s trying to pull up the ratings, because the wrestling alone isn’t doing it.

  2. RKO=best wrestler alive!!!!!!!!! says:

    you have a point

    wwe is being nonsense now

  3. Deadman says:

man he just wants attention and ratings

you know it i know it chuck norris knows it even hornswoggle knows it 😀

  4. That’s the same thing I asked myself. The matches seemed like complete afterthoughts and I think there was only 1 match in the first hour.
I’m really hating this whole money give away, and was pissed when he said he will do it again next week.
I guess Vince still thinks that women in bikini is what the fans want, it was completely pointless.
The giveaway was supposed to pull in ratings but Raw ended up with a low rating last week and I think that this week it will be even lower, if it does then I must say EPIC FAIL!

  5. Man I fell asleep and I missed it (raw and Tna in the same week damn) and I only caught a glimpse of it before falling back to sleep, but when I saw all the divas in the ring dancing, I said well doesn’t look like Im missing too much, Ill catch the replay later. Thats horrible if he said that and it just goes to show you how far out of touch he is from the wrestling fans in my opinion, that even is an insult to the fans who only like the hardcored matches.
