    I hope not. If you’re not in the country legally you shouldn’t be able to participate in any domestic sweepstakes.

    They probably require some form of valid ID, an ID that an illegal generally can’t get.

    Glad you asked this question, recently a chap resident in UK bought a UK lottery ticket over the internet whilst in Spain.
    Problem is I can’t remember what happened, but there was something about buying a UK lottery ticket abroad being wrong, although how they could tell is beyond me.
