If you live in the U.S., I would suggest you apply for FAFSA, it’s a Federal Student Aid, an office of the U.S. Department of Education. If you are eligible, they might be able to give you several grants. Fill out their application. Also, check out collegeboard.com, I believe they also have scholarship applications. If they require for you to write an essay, they not only want to know about your academic work but also extracurricular activities. I don’t know about how much money you will need to get yourself through school, it depends if you are going to a cc, public university, or private. I wish you good luck!!
